There are a couple ways to get there.

1. The scenic route is to head north from Sacramento to Cottonwood on I-5 and get off at exit 664, at Gas Point Road. From there it is about 19 miles to the cemetery.

2. A more direct route from Sacramento on I-5 is to exit 675 Bechelli Lane in Redding. Turn West and follow Bonnyview about 1 mile to CA 273 (Old 99). Turn left on 273 for about 1/2 mile to Clear Creek Road. Turn right and follow Clear Creek Road about 10 miles to Gas Point Road. Turn sharp left and go 2 miles to the cemetery entrance.

What Does It Look Like?
The site consists of 120 acres, 61 of which are slated for development. Diagram 1 is a representation of what the cemetery might look like if all 61 acres are developed.

What Has Been Constructed?

Phase 1, developed sixteen acres and includes the administration building, visitor center, committal service shelter, burial grounds, columbarium, an assembly/flag area for special events, and a maintenance area, see diagram 2.

Phase 1 includes approximately 8500 burial sites including lawn crypts (in-ground caskets), traditional in-ground (caskets), in-ground cremains (cremated remains) and columbarium (niche for cremains).

The design of the cemetery remains in keeping with the natural beauty of the surrounding countryside and much of the indigenous flora will be integrated into the project. This region is composed of mostly flat to gently rolling hills with open meadows and a variety of trees, grasses and shrubs. Surrounded by mountain ranges, the area boasts dramatic views of Mt. Shasta, the Trinity Alps and Mt. Lassen. These vistas, eyed from within the park-like setting of the cemetery, are among the many focal points in the overall project design.
